The formation of the partnership will see agents at Hamptons take on a series of fundraising efforts to raise money and awareness for Mind, which provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem, campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding, and provide support directly to those who need it most.

The charity has a network of more than 140 local Minds across England and Wales which offer specialised services based on the needs of the co

Lesley Cairns, managing director at Hamptons, commented: “Here at Hamptons we have shown great determination when it comes to fundraising, and having reflected on the impact lockdown has had on mental health we have decided we would like to rally together as a business to raise funds for Mind. We felt it was important to choose a charity that shared similar values to us in striving to create respectful relationships with our clients and colleagues alike in listening to and supporting each other.

“With one in four people experiencing a mental health problem every year, we recognise the importance of the work that Mind does, and look forward to raising awareness and funds to help support the services they provide and ensure that no one has to face their mental health problem alone.

“Having raised over £350,000 over the past nine years for Cancer Research UK we now look forward to supporting Mind and raising money to support this charity that is close to our hearts in all our lives”

Charlotte Porter, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Mind, said: “We are so grateful to Hamptons for supporting Mind so we can be there for as many people who need us, as possible.

“As we continue to feel the lasting impact of the pandemic on our mental health, especially for those of us with existing mental health problems, it’s never been more important that everyone can access the support they need and deserve. The money raised by Hamptons will support Mind’s Infoline, giving someone a voice to talk to when things are too much, keep our online community Side by Side open for anyone feeling isolated, and help us to keep pushing people in power to protect our rights and support our needs.”
