From being a prosecutor in the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Office to serving on Annapolis’ July Fourth Committee and finally serving on the Annapolis City Council for 14 years, “it’s something I’ve never really forgotten,” he said. Earlier this year, Paone announced he was retiring after three-and-a-half terms. Karma O’Neill, a Democrat, was elected this month to succeed him.
