Orlando doctor pleads guilty in pelvic mesh implant scheme

Pelvic mesh implants, used to treat pelvic floor disorders and urinary incontinence in women, have been found to cause pain, discomfort and bleeding. Roughly 100,000 women have filed lawsuits against medical device manufacturers, who agreed to more than $8 billion in settlements, according to the New York Times.
