There were only a handful of PS5 restocks last week and most of them sold out extremely quickly. With that said, it is very difficult to get a hold of Sony’s next-gen console from any major U.S. retailer at the moment.
Here is a breakdown of the latest PS5 restock information.
GameStop PS5 Restock
According to dependable console tracker Matt Swider, GameStop is poised to release new PS5 units later this week.
Although he cannot forecast an exact date right now, Swider has confirmed that he will be updating his followers with plenty of time to spare. Specifically, he has indicated that he will broadcast an announcement on Twitter the evening before the restock is going to take place.
As we reported in our previous update, you might want to consider signing up for GameStop’s PowerUp Rewards Pro scheme in anticipation of this imminent drop. Otherwise, you will not be eligible to place an order when the new units are made available.
You can register as a PowerUp Rewards member on the GameStop website for an annual fee of $14.99.

Best Buy PS5 Restock
It has now been over a month since Best Buy last restocked on PS5 units.
While another drop is clearly going to take place at some point in the near future, it is rather difficult to anticipate a precise date. Best Buy’s restocks have been especially unpredictable lately, without a consistent day of the week or regular timeslot.
We can narrow it down ever so slightly, by noting that Best Buy has never restocked in an evening, on a weekend, or before 9:30 a.m. ET. That is admittedly not that much to go on, so you will have to be particularly vigilant when it comes to this drop.
Newsweek will continue to monitor the situation to see if any more concrete information is revealed over the coming days.

Walmart PS5 Restock
Walmart was last selling the PS5 towards the back end of August. Given that the outlet typically restocks on a fortnightly basis, its next drop is certainly overdue.
In terms of when you should expect this to take place, Walmart usually coordinates its restocks every other Thursday at 3 p.m. ET. As such, we would recommend that you keep an eye on their website around the afternoon of September 16.

Amazon PS5 Restock
Amazon restocked on the PS5 almost two weeks ago and since then it has not released any additional units.
Trackers are not expecting the online marketplace to get any more supplies until the beginning of October. The reason for this is that Amazon normally adheres to a monthly restock pattern.
In the meantime, you might be able to add a few second-hand units to your Amazon basket. However, these will be sold by third-party scalpers and will therefore be going for a highly inflated rate.

Target PS5 Restock
Target staggered a few PS5 restocks throughout Friday, September 10.
The outlet was selling both the disc and digital edition of Sony’s console at various points in the morning, but these supplies have now been thoroughly depleted.

Newegg PS5 Restock
There are no gaming consoles featured in today’s Newegg shuffle, but there are a few PC components up for grabs instead.
Newegg’s daily lottery draws are a good way of securing coveted items (like PS5s or Xbox Series X units), so it is always worth checking to see what is included each morning.
Alternatively, you can browse the retailer’s website to see if any second-hand consoles are being traded.
However, it is worth bearing in mind that any such units will be incredibly overpriced. For instance, there is a PS5 currently listed on the marketplace for an extortionate $998.

Antonline PS5 Restock
The PS5 is not in stock at Antonline, but you can get an Xbox Series S if you are in the market for one of those.
Microsoft’s cheaper console is listed in multiple different bundles on the website. For more details on this, consult Newsweek’s latest Xbox Series X restock update.

Shortly after we published our last restock update, PS Direct opened its virtual queue to customers.
The storefront was inevitably picked clean within minutes and all PS5 bundles are now sold out once again.

Costco PS5 Restock
You are still unable to buy either version of the PS5 from Costco. It has been quite a long time since the merchant restocked and there is no indication of when this is expected to change.
